National Library of Ireland

Kildare St.

Dublin 2

The “Lapis Lazuli” is a very rare carved and inscribed stone, which was gifted to W.B. Yeats on his 70th birthday by the young poet Harry Clifton. It is now on loan from the Yeats estate to the National Library of Ireland. This event is a unique opportunity to discover historic links with China and celebrate a shared sino-hibernian heritage. Dr. Jerusha McCormack will give a keynote lecture “The Poem on the Mountain” which was written by W.B. Yeats about the Lapis Lazuli. The Yeats exhibition is in residence at the National Library of Ireland.
Event is free and no booking necessary. Places limited.
